Inspiring Service,
Transforming Communities
Service with a smile…
At Mauna Loa School, our commitment to Christian service extends beyond the classroom. Monthly food distributions at the local Food Bank engage our students in hands-on community support. Operation Christmas Child sees each class assembling shoe boxes filled with essentials for children in need, spreading joy during the holidays. From crafting heartfelt cards for various occasions to participating in health challenges like the Kids Heart Challenge, our students learn the value of compassion and giving back. We honor community leaders like Pastor Andre with gestures of appreciation, fostering fellowship and gratitude. Even our youngest learners get involved, whether through canned food collections or spreading cheer through caroling. Our dedication to service extends to environmental stewardship, with activities like trash pickups at Camp Maluhia and bringing smiles to nursing home residents through community singing. At Mauna Loa School, service is not just a lesson—it's a way of life.
Connecting Hearts…
At Mauna Loa School, we prioritize the power of connections. From the moment students step through our doors, we dare to connect—building small relationships that blossom into meaningful bonds. Our teachers invest in nurturing these relationships, helping them grow stronger over time. By following Christ's example, we understand the importance of fostering connections with God from birth, strengthening family relationships, and ultimately building a brotherhood of disciples. These relationships become pillars of support during difficult times, guiding and uplifting each member of our community. At Mauna Loa, our commitment to fostering deep, meaningful connections sets us apart, creating an environment where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
